17/06/2026 - New website, new features!
If the website looks a little different today — that's because it's had a big makeover! We've rebuilt large parts of the site from the ground up to make it faster, friendlier and far easier to use, especially on your phone. Here's a tour of what's new for members.
Works beautifully on your phone
The whole site now uses a modern, adaptive layout that reshapes itself to fit whatever you're using — phone, tablet or desktop. The menu collapses into a tidy tap-friendly button on small screens, tables scroll cleanly instead of bursting off the edge, and buttons and links are sized for thumbs. No more pinching and zooming to read the results!
Log in your way
As well as signing in with Facebook or Google, you can now create a local account with just an email address and password. The full sign-up experience is all here: email confirmation, "forgot your password?" reset links, and the option to resend a confirmation email if you need it. If you ever land on a members-only page before signing in, you'll now get a clear, friendly message rather than a confusing error.
A smarter profile card
Your runner profile has had a real boost. The Season Bests card now shows your best times across every season you've raced — not just the current year. Previous seasons tuck away neatly, and each distance shows whether you've got faster or slower than before, with the exact improvement. Tap the little info button on any time to see the race, the date and the year-on-year comparison — and it all works perfectly on a touchscreen.
Personal bests now appear right alongside your results too, so you can see at a glance where you set them.
Find races faster
The results section has a new race search, so you can jump straight to the race you're looking for instead of scrolling through the list. The results tables themselves have been reworked to be much easier to read and use on a mobile.
Brand-new sections
There are two big new features to explore:
- Grand Prix — the club's internal series is now tracked live on the website, so you can follow the standings as they update through the season.
- Handicap Races — our Adrian Smith Handicap now has its own live tracking and race-management section.
Manage your own details
From the account menu you can now update your own UKA registration number and the link to your runner profile yourself — no need to ask a committee member.
And a few finishing touches
You'll also spot a rotating set of banner photos, a refreshed club logo, a tidier sign-in menu on mobile, and a cookie notice to keep us above board. Behind the scenes, the pages our committee edits — like Calendar, Membership, Social and Stats — have been modernised too, so they're easier to keep up to date.
We hope you enjoy the new site! Have a click around, and if you spot anything that doesn't look right, please let us know — your feedback helps us keep improving it.
